Dance Competition
The Dance competition was held among the four houses of the school named Advaith, Samyak, Uthkarsh, and Vrudhi. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj Vice-President KVS, and Sri M R Sangamesh Secretary KVS graced the occasion. Smt Devika B Swamy Principal welcomed the gathering. The three judges of the competition were Sri Manjanna, Smt SunithaPraveen and Smt Poornima K. The first place went to Samyak House 2nd Place went to Vrudhi House and 3rd place was shared by Uthkarsh and Advaith Houses.

World Music and Yoga Day
World Music and Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2023. Smt Sowmya Srikant and Smt Radha Krishna Swaroop, the well-known Bharatanatyam dancers and the singers in Indian Classical Genre, were the chief guests on the occasion. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj Vice-President KVS, and Sri M R Sangamesh Secretary KVS graced the occasion. Smt Devika B Swamy Principal extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and the students. Smt Sowmya Srikant and Smt Radha Krishna Swaroop gave a performance on singing devotional songs. Later, Sri Rakesh Physical Education teacher along with a few students gave a demonstration on yogaasanas. A competition was held for the students of 5th to 7th std on the theme of singing patriotic songs. On the same day “ Gamaka Vachana” was conducted by Smt Sowmya Srikant and Smt Radha Krishna Swaroop for the 10th Std students.

Art Integration
A programme on art integration was organized on 16th June 2023. Smt Sowmya Srikant, the well-known Bharatanatyam dancer, was the chief guest of the programme. She addressed the students about the need to go for art integration into the school curriculum. Children gave a performance of the Bharatanatyam dance. Smt Devika B Swamy Principal was present on the occasion.

Talent day
Talent day was celebrated in our school on 8th June 2023. Only the 1st std children were involved in the activities. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice–President, and Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary were the dignitaries on the occasion. Smt Devika B Swamy Principal, KCS welcomed the parents and the dignitaries and the children came up with many programmes concerning the environment in the form of dance, songs, and skits. The Principal introduced the teaching faculty to the parents on the occasion.

School Election 6th June 2023
School election was conducted in the school on 6th June 2023. Children from 6th Std onwards elected their representatives through the digital voting system. The students were very enthusiastic and the election process created awareness among them about the need to elect worthy candidates. Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head boy, Deputy Head Girl, Cultural Secretaries, Deputy cultural secretaries sports secretaries and deputy sports secretaries were elected by the children.

World Environment Day5th June 2023
World Environment Day was celebrated in the school assembly. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj Vice–President, KVS and Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were the guests. The Principal administrated the oath of office to the students to keep the environment clean. The dance drama was performed by the students of class 6th. 7th Std students went around on a door-to-door campaign in Vidyanagar to keep the environment clean with a few teachers to create awareness among the public. They distributed pamphlets on how to keep the environment clean among the public. High school students went on jatha on the main road starting from Kalpataru Stadium to Kodi Circle and returned from there to Seetharamaiah centenary hall where food was served to them.

School reopen 22nd May 2023
The School reopened on 22nd May 2023 for the students of 1st – 10th std. 1st std kids were welcomed by the Principal & other teachers. The Principal distributed pencils which had been decorated using craft work by the teachers to the 1st std children.

Strengthening Assessment & Evaluation Progress 19th & 20th May 2023
A workshop on the topic ‘Strengthening Assessment & Evaluation Progress’ was held in the school by the Centre Of Excellence For Teachers (COE) Bengaluru, CBSE. Resources persons were Mrs. Gayathri & Mrs. Sushma.

Art Integration 18th May 2023
An orientation programme was organized in the school by the Centre Of Excellence For Teachers (COE) Bengaluru, CBSE on the topic ‘Art Integration’. Resource Persons were Mr. Prashanth Muley & Mr. Kiran Kulkarni. Apart from our school teachers, some teachers from Badarikashrama were also present & they took active participation in the programme.

Bidding Farewell to 2022-23 batch
Valediction for X course 2022 moist eyes and teary - eyed farewell marked the valediction organized for X standard children 2022-23 batch. It was a very moving sight watching the out-going children feeling very sad at the prospect of leaving the school on the completion of course. A token of gift was handed over to the out - going children by the school. The event was an emotionally surcharged one where the children felt very proud to be the students of KCS and they expressed their gratitude to the school, faculty and fellow students. The children vowed that they would excel in their performance at X Board Examination.

Annual Day 2022-23
School Annual day was celebrated on 9th Feb, 2023. Very grand and elaborate arrangements were made to make this event a memorable one. Sri P K Thipperudrappa, President KVS presided over the function. Sri B C Nagesh, Hon’ble Minister for Primary and Secondary Education and Sakala,Govt of Karnataka was the chief guest of the occasion. Dr.Wooday P Krishna was the guest of honour. All the office bearers of KVS were present on the occasion.

Workshop on Science Expo 2022-23
A workshop was conducted on 28th December for the X STD students on the topic ‘Science Expo’ activity-based learning. Sri Parthasarathy T M was the Resource Person.

Workshop on Handling Teenage Children 2022-23
Dr Malathi, Psychologist and The Principal, PAACC, Tiptur conducted a workshop to the parents of X STD students on 20th December. The topic was ‘Handling Teenage Children’.

Workshop on Upholding Ethics, Integrity and Values 2022-23
On 17th December, A workshop was organized by our school by a renowned resource person, Mrs Vamsheepriya Amar, Chairperson, Sahodaya Complex and the Principal, MVJ International School, Bengaluru. The workshop was on ‘Upholding Ethics, Integrity and Values.’

Workshop on National Education Policy 2022-23
A workshop was organized by our school on 16th December on National Education Policy (NEP 2020). It was conducted by Mrs Meena D R, Associate Professor and coordinator NEP, BIT, Bengaluru.

South Zone Second Chess Championship 2022-23
South Zone Second Chess Championship was held in Bangalore from 12th to 14th December. Our school bagged 6th place in the tournament & two boys scored board prizes.

South Zone Second Taekwondo Tournament 2022-23
South Zone Second Taekwondo Tournament was held in Bangalore from 7th to 9th December. Two students from our school scored high and bagged Bronze medals.

Cluster VIII Athletic Meet 2022-23
Cluster VIII Athletic Meet 2022-23 was held at Moodubidre from November 29th to 1st December (Hosted by Bhuvana Jyothi Residential School Shirthady). Students from our school participated in it.

Child Safety - 2022-23
On 19th November 2022, Sri B.S. Nanda Kumar, President CWC, Tumkur addressed the students. He created awareness among the students focusing on the safety, prevention of sexual harassment, intake of quality food & nutrition, ill effects of over usage of mobile phones.

Orientation Programme - 2022-23
An orientation programme was conducted for the students of grade X on the topic 'Into the fascinating World of Microbes’. Career guidance was also given to the students.

Kannada Rajyothsava - 2022-23
Kannada Rajyothsava was celebrated on 1st November 2022 in the school assembly with great enthusiasm and a sense of patriotism towards the state and Kannada language. An orientation programme was conducted for the teaching staff on the same day.

National Unity Day - 2022-23
National Unity Day was celebrated on 31st October 2022.

Teachers Day  - 2022-23
Our school organised a Teachers’ Day celebration along with National Sports Day on 5th September 2022.

Annual Sports Day - 2022-23
Annual Sports Day was held in the school on 24th & 25th November for the students from grade 5th to grade 10th.

Independence Day Celebration : 2022-23
Independence Day was celebrated in the school premises on 15th August 2022. The students bagged 1st place in dance and March-past.

English Debate Competition  : 2022-23
KCS English Final Debate Competition was organized on 1st August 2022. Taluk level English and Kannada Debate Competition was held at SS PU College, Tiptur on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day celebration on 3rd August 2022. Four students from High School participated in it and bagged first and second place in Kannada and English Debate respectively.

Class X Results  : 2022-23
CBSE Class X results were announced on 23rd July 2022. I am very happy to state that our students produced 100 per cent results for the 16th consecutive year. Out of 120 students, 62 students bagged distinction and Leniyashree scored 597/600 to become one of the toppers at the National level.

Extra Curriculum Activities for the Academic Year : 2022-23
Musical Instruments, Bharatanatya, LSK & Hand Writing classes started for the new academic year.

International Yoga Day Celebration - 2022-23
International Day of Yoga was celebrated on the school premises on 21st June. Students performed Yogasanas. Class 7th students went on a field trip to Aralaguppe and they demonstrated Yogasanas on the premises of Channakeshava Temple.

World Environment Day Celebration - 2022-23
World Environment Day was celebrated on the 6th of June and Jatha on the “Save Soil” movement from school to Nagarasabha was held on the same day. Students performed a skit on “Save Soil” in front of Nagarasabha, Tiptur. Students of class X visited Hathyal Narasimha Swamy Temple and the seed sowing programme was initiated by our school with the support of the Forest Department.

Investiture Ceremony - 2022-23
The investiture ceremony was held on 1st June to administer the Oath of office to all the newly elected student representatives.

Annual Sports Meet
Annual Sports- Meet was organized for the students of grade IX and X Std on 15th March 2022. Sri, Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice- President, KVS, Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, the principal, KCS, Sri, Appegowda Swamy, and sports teacher, KCS, were present on the occasion.

Parent – Sports - Meet
Parent – sports – meet was organized for the parents of the children belonging to grade I to IV std on 11th March 2022. Many parents participated in the events full of enthusiasm. Sri, Deepak, Vice–President, KVS, Sri, Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice-President, KVS, Sri, M.R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS, Sri. Sudhakar H.G, Secretary, KVS and Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS were present on the occasion cheering the parents. Smt. Purnima, Academic Co-ordinator, KCS, welcomed the guest and the gathering. All the office bearers of KVS who were present on the occasion inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Smt.Chitra, Asst. Teacher, sang a song on the occasion. All the faculty members of KCS were present on the occasion.

“Dealing with examination fear”
An orientation programme for Grade X children was organized on 10th March 2022. Dr. Malathi, the Principal, PAACC, Tiptur addressed the children about “Dealing with examination fear”. Interaction with the children was also taken up on the occasion. Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS also addressed the children on the occasion.

Feminism and Social Construction
A talk was organized on “Feminism and Social Construction” on 9th March 2022. The faculty members were addressed on the topic by Smt.Vinutha B.C, Associate Professor, Department of English, Kalpataru First Grade Science College, Tiptur.Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS, presided over the programme.

International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day was celebrated in the school on 8th March 2022 with much enthusiasm. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS presided over the celebration. Smt. Stella, Asst. Teacher made introductory remarks on the relevance and significance of the event. Smt.Chitra, Asst. Teacher and other lady faculty members came up with a song about the empowerment of women. Sri,Renukaardhya, Asst.Teacher, also sang another song on the occasion. The Principal gave the presidential address.

Shivaratri Celebration
Shivaratri was celebrated in advance on 28th February 2022. Sri.Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice-President, KVS and Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, Principal, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Smt. Suma Vishwadeep Asst.Teacher talked about the significance of Shivaratri festival. Children came up with a dance programme and sang songs.

National Science Day
A quiz competition on Science was organized for grades VI and VII std children and a drawing science diagram competition on 26th February 2022 on the occasion of the National Science Day. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice–President, KVS and Dr A M Shivanna, The former Principal of Kalpataru Science College was present on the occasion. Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, Principal, KCS welcomed the gathering.

Saraswathi Pooja
Saraswathi Pooja was organized on 25th February 2022 for all the children to create awareness about the forthcoming examination. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – President, and M.R. Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS and Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, Principal were present on the occasion.

Swatch Bharath
Swatch Bharath Programme was held on 14th February 2022. Students of class X took part in the programme. Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, the principal, KCS a few other teachers participated in the programme.

Orientation Programme
An orientation programme was organized for parents of X STD children on 1st February. The theme was “Parent-Child Relation”. The resource person was Dr. Malathi, Psychologist, Principal, PAAC, Tiptur. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, Principal, KCS, Tiptur addressed the parents on the occasion. An emphasis was laid on stress and time management for the speakers. The parents interacted well with the resource person.

White light Chanting Meditation
Sri. Girish Huddar, an educationist, gave a motivational talk to the children on 1st February 2022. A separate programme on “White Light Meditation” was held by him for X std children on the same day. The children were taught the way to take up white light meditation to be able to focus better on studies and remain calm and steady. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS addressed the gathering of children.

Republic Day
Republic Day was celebrated at the school on 26th January 2022. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – President, KVS and M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were present on the occasion. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS hoisted the National Flag on the occasion. Children came up with the song and a dance programme for the occasion.

Birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
The birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was celebrated at the school on 24th January 2022. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS lighted the lamp on the occasion and addressed the gathering.

Makara Sankranthi
Makara Sankranthi festival was celebrated at the school on 14th January 2022. Smt. Rani, Asst. teacher spoke on the significance of the Makara Sankranthi festival. Children came up with a song, and dance programme. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS addressed the children on the occasion.

National Youth Day
National Youth Day was celebrated at the school on 12th January 2022 as part of the Birthday celebration of Swami Vivekananda. Sri. Vijaykumar, Asst.teacher addressed the gathering highlighting the achievements of Swami Vivekananda. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS addressed the children on the occasion.

Covid – 19 Vaccination
Covid – 19 Vaccination was administered to the students of grade X on 4th January 2022. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS supervised the safe administration of the vaccination.

Christmas Day
Christmas day was celebrated at the school on 23rd December 2021. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – President, KVS was present on the occasion. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS spoke on the occasion. A skit, dance and Christmas carols were sung on the occasion. A dance drama was also performed by the students.

Mathematics Day
Mathematics day was celebrated at the school on 22nd December 2021. A skit by students was performed during assembly activities. Smt. Madhushree, Asst. the teacher spoke to the children about the event. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS talked to the students about the need to develop an interest in mathematics.

Improvement of Handwriting Class
Improvement of Handwriting Class was held at the school on 18th December 2021. Mr. Shreyas, Xpert Handwriting ®, Bangalore was the resource person. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the principal, of KCS urged the students to work hard and improve upon their handwriting skills.

Cricket Tournament
Cricket Tournament was organized for the grade X on 17th December 2021. Sri Srinivas, PEd, PAAC&C, was present during the tournament.

Veergatha Project
Veergatha's project was executed on 15th December 2021. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the principal, KCS was present on the occasion. Children from class VI onwards took part in the programme and came up with the drawing of freedom fighters and the pictures were uploaded on the CBSE Portal.

Enrichment Programme for Teachers
Enrichment Programme for Teachers was organized at the school on 10th December 2021. S Chanabasavaiah was the resource person.

Constitution Day
Constitution Day was organized at the school on 26th November 2021. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS and Smt. Sheela H S Asst. Teachers were present on the occasion. Smt. Sheela H S spoke on the significance of the Constitution.

Kanakadasa Jayanthi
Kanakadasa Jayanthi was celebrated at the school on 23rd November 2021. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS spoke on the occasion. The children came up with a song and fancy dress programme dressed as Kanakadasa.

Children’s day
Children’s day was celebrated at the school on 14th November 2021to mark the birthday of Sri Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of India. Sri P K Thipperudrappa, President, KVS, Sri. M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were present on the occasion. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS welcomed the gathering. The teachers came up with song and dance programmes for the occasion.

National Education Day
National Education day was celebrated at the school on 11th November 2021. It coincides with the birthday of Sri Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the First Education Minister of the country. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS along with some other teachers participated in the programme.

ATL workshop
ATL workshop was organized on 8th November 2021. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS spoke on the occasion. Students came up with different science models at the end of the workshop.

Kannada Rajyostava
Kannada Rajyostava was celebrated at the school on November 1st 2021. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – Presidents KVS, Sri. M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were present on the occasion. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS welcomed the gathering. A dance programme was organized by the students. Sri Mallikarjun, Asst. The teacher spoke about the significance of Rajyostava on the occasion.

Valmiki Jayanthi 2021-22
Valmiki Jayanthi was celebrated at the school on 20th October 2021. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS and a few other teachers took part in the celebration.

Gandhi Jayanthi 2021-22
Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated at the school on October 2nd 2021. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – Presidents KVS, Sri. M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were present on the occasion. Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS. Spoke about the significance of the occasion. Chanting from Bhagavad Geetha, reading from the holy book of the Koran and recitation from the New Testament was done by the teachers. A song was sung by the teachers.

Legal Awareness programme 2021-22
A legal Awareness programme was organized at the school on 1st October 2021. Smt. Noorunnisa, Senior Civil Judge inaugurated the session. The judges addressed the students about the need for legal awareness. Sri. B S Umesh, Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – Presidents KVS, Sri. M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS, were present on the occasion. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS welcomed the gathering.

Investiture Ceremony 2021-22
The investiture Ceremony was held on 21st September 2021. Sri P K Thipperudrappa, President, KVS Sri T S Shivaprasad, Treasurer, KVS, Sri Umashankar, Sri Bagepalli Nataraj and Sri Deepak, Vice–Presidents, KVS, Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were present on the occasion oath of office was administered to all the students' representatives and functionaries. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS, reminded the students of the responsibility towards the institution and the society. A dance programme was organized by the students.

Ozone day  2021-22
Ozone day was celebrated at the school on 16th September 2021. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS, spoke on the significance of Ozone day. Some children spoke on the occasion giving details about Ozone.

Engineer’s Day  2021-22
Engineer’s Day was celebrated at the school on 15th September 2021. Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary KVS, was the chief guest of the programme. Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS, welcomed the gathering. The teachers of the school enlightened the students about the contribution made by the engineers to society. Some models were displayed by Atal Tinkering Lab KCS.

Hindi Diwas 2021-22
Hindi Diwas was celebrated at the school on 14th September 2021. Sri. Raghu M. Asst. The teacher was the guest of honour. Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, The Principal, KCS spoke to the students about the importance of the Hindi language. The children came up with a dance programme and a skit.

Colours Day 2021-22
Colours day was organized by KCS. Students came up with costumes and attire suited to the occasion. It was a joyful occasion for the children. Smt Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS. Interacted with the students on the occasion.

Dasara Festival 2021-22
Dasara festival was organized by the school on 14th February 2021. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, KCS, addressed the gathering. Several songs and dance programmes were performed by the students. A display of toys, dolls and books was done by the students.

Teachers’ Day  2021-22
Teachers’ day was celebrated at the school on 5th September 2021. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice–President, KVS and Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS and Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, Principal, KCS addressed the gathering of students. Sri. B S Shankarlingappa, senior teacher of the school was felicitated on the occasion. A cultural programme was organized by the X STD Students for the teachers.

Physical Classes  2021-22
Physical classes started for grades I to V on 6th September 2021 after the lapse of 2 years due to the Pandemic situation. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice–President, KVS and Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS and Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, Principal, KCS welcomed the students to the school.

Krishna Janmashtami and National Sports Day 2021-22
Krishna Janmashtami and National Sports Day were celebrated at the school on 30th August 2021.Sri. Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – President, KVS gave a talk on the importance of sports on the occasion. Teachers of the school gave a chanting of Bhagavad Geetha along with Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, Principal, KCS. Children came up with a song, a dance programme and a fancy dress programme on the occasion. Students presented a dance programme having sports as the theme.

Independence Day 2021-22
Independence Day was celebrated at the school on 15th August 2021. Smt.Devika.B.Swamy, Principal, KCS hoisted the National Flag. A song and a dance programme were given by X standard students.

Guru Purnima and Workshop for teachers 2021-22
Guru Purnima was celebrated at the school on 24th July 2021 and a workshop for teachers was organized on the occasion. Sri Sudhakar, Sri Bagepalli Nataraj and Sri Deepak. Vice – Presidents, KVS Sri. M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were present on the occasion. Dr. Dattari, former Principal, JNV, Tumkuru conducted a day-long workshop for teachers of our school. Smt. Doctors Day  2021-22
Doctors Day was celebrated at the school on 1st July 2021. Dr Bhavana Prasad, MBBS, DNB (Psychiatry) Consultant Neuropsychiatry) gave a talk on “Children’s Mental Health during Covid – 19 Pandemic” in her webinar. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj and Sri Umashankar, Vice –Presidents, KVS, and Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were present on the occasion. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, Principal, KCS addressed the teachers, parents and students on the occasion.

World Environment Day 2021-22
World Environment Day was celebrated in the school on 7th June 2021. Sri P. K. Thipperudrappa, President, KVS, Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary KVS. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – President, KVS were present on the occasion and they took an active part in planting saplings on the school premises. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal and some teachers were present on the occasion. Children showcased their talent by dressing up as representatives of nature and they spoke to their classmates about the need to conserve a healthy environment through online classes.

Orientation Programme - 2021
A teachers' orientation programme was organized in our school between 20th March 2021 and 3rd April 2021. All the teachers from our school participated in the programme and several activities were taken up in promoting communicative language skills among the teachers. Sri. National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February 2021. Workshop conducted by Dr.Chitharanjan Ra The Principal, Kalpataru First Grade Science College, on 'Impact of educational skills and work'. A few children spoke on the life and achievements of Dr. C.V Raman. All the science teachers took part in the programme. The Principal Smt.Devika.B.Swamy inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Republic day was celebrated on 26th Jan 2021 in our school premises. The Principal, Smt. Devika.B.Swamy hoisted the National Flag. All the teachers took part in the programme.

Science Training Programme under Atal Tinkering Lab
Training programme was organized by C.V Yogesh on 23rd January 2021 for all the students from 9th and 10th standard. This was done under the auspices of Atal Tinkering Lab. An Online English Debate competition was organized for IX and X STD children. The awarding ceremony was held on August 4 2021. Jahnavi Harsha and Yedluri Harshil Rathan won the first place in the debate competition and Shreyas V and Pranav Somshekar were the runners-up. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, Principal handed over the Trophies to the winners and runners-up. Sri Nagaraj N. P was present during the awarding ceremony. Inauguration of Atal Tinkering Lab of Kalpataru Central School took place on 21st January 2020 Atal Tinkering Lab has been sanctioned by Niti Ayog, Government of India. Our school has taken a huge leap forward in making learning a great joy with the commencement of Atal Tinkering Lab. Children's curiosity is kindled while taking up hands on activities in the Lab. World Music & Yoga Day - 2020
We celebrated World Music and Yoga day on June 21st 2020. Only a few children and teachers could take part in the programme in order to maintain physical distancing in the context of the pandemic. A pro-active initiative in creating awareness among children about the positive impact of yoga in our lives 'Do yoga and enjoy life' is the intended message here. Yoga is a therapy to keep the body fit, mind clam and help live a relaxed and quality life.

Bidding Farewell
Moist eyes and teary – eyed farewell marked the valediction organized for the 2019-2020 X standard children. It was a very moving sight watching the out – going children feeling very sad at the prospect of leaving the school on the completion of the course. A token of gift was handed over to the out – going children by the school. The event was an emotionally surcharged one where the children felt very proud to be the students of KCS and they expressed their gratitude to the school, faculty and fellow students. Sharadha Pooja was organized and the Admission Tickets were handed over to the students. The children vowed that they would excel in their performance at X Board Examination.

Annual Sports meet was organized between 28th – 30th November. Athletics, individual events and group games were organized. Sri. P. K. Tipperudrappa, the President and Sri T. S. Children’s Day
Children’s Day was celebrated with lots of fun and joy. The Principal, Mrs. Devika.B.Swamy inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. Teachers came up with many programmes to entertain the children. Men faculty came up with a skit which was very humorous. Lady teachers gave two dance programmes which were received with joyous shouts from the children. Later, the teachers sang songs in praise of the potential and the talent of the children.

Vigilance week
The Kalpataru Central School observed the vigilance week from 28th October to 2nd November 2019. The idea was to promote transparency, accountability & integrity in public life. The Motto of the programme was “Integrity – A way of life”. On this occasion, Mrs. Devika. B .Swamy, The Principal, KCS requested the faculty & the children in the assembly to take the pledge that they would be vigilant and would develop zero tolerance towards corruption in public life. Banners and posters were displayed to encourage the students to develop integrity of character. The panel discussion and debate competition were organized to drive home the message of the need to have integrity in public life.

Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with gusto in our school on November 1,2019. Sri Renukaradhya , was the Chief Guest of the occasion.Chlidren took active participation in organizing the cultural programmes. Smt.Devika. B. Swamy addressed the children. The occasion was feisty and the faculty mingled with the children freely encouraging them to come up with creative ideas and programmes.

Deepavali, the festival of lights,was celebrated with much enthusiasm in the school on 26th October 2019. The diyas were lit by the children.The Principal, the faculty and the rest of the staff took part in the celebration making the occasion memorable.The entire atmosphere was filled with fun and laughter .An awareness was created among the students about the need to prevent pollution emanating from lighting fire crackers.The children were enlightened about the legend of Bali Chakravarti and the evil represented by Narakasura.The victory of the good over the evil was the cause for celebration.

Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration
150th birthday anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi & 115th birthday anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated in all solemnity in our school on October 2, 2019. Mr. Yashwanth (Asst. Teacher) addressed the gathering of students and teachers. Excerpts from Bhagawadgitha, Kuran & Bible were read out to drive home Gandhi’s idea of pluralism and communal amity. A dance drama was enacted by our High school students on this occasion.

Good touch & bad touch awareness program
The teachers educated the children about the various aspects of human behavior. The children were told to be vary of psychopathic and anti – social elements in the society. A short film was screened to enable the children to draw a distinction between good touch & bad touch.

Disaster Management awareness program
The children were made aware of the possible disasters that they are likely to encounter. The teachers demonstrated how to manage the disaster and how to minimize the negative impacts of the disaster. The teachers used the school model to show the various exits in the school which could be used at the time of any disaster. The students were told to be clam resourceful in operating the fire extinguishers and other various tools.

Teachers’ Day
Teachers’ Day was celebrated in our school on 5th September 2019-20 with enthusiasm. The students organized the function in an orderly manner & they recalled the tremendous contribution made by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Kalpataru Central School conducted the Fancy Dress Competition on 29th July for the children of Classes Sapling. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to get on the stage and speak in front of an audience. Children dressed up in their colorful costumes and spoke a few sentences on the character that they depicted. The effort and hard work of children was highly commendable.

It is the product of the Vision and dynamism of its founding Principal Shri. J. R. Mahalingaiah and the altruistic and munificent donations from the renowned Philanthropists like Shri. Pallagatti Adavappa the founding President of the Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe.

Kalpataru College, which came to light in 1962 with a meager strength of 277 students went on growing from strength to strength until 1982 when it got bifurcated into Kalpataru Science College and Pallagatti Adavappa Arts and Commerce College, for conveniences of administration.
