H I G H L I G H T S

Sankranti Festival
Sankranti Festival was celebrated in our school on 13th January 2024. Dance performance was given by high school students. Yellu – Bella was distributed to all the teachers by high school students. All the students were dressed up in traditional attire.

New Year
New Year was welcomed happily in our school on 2nd January 2024. A dance performance on the occasion was done by High School students.

Christmas Day
Christmas was celebrated in our school on 22nd December 2023. A dance programme, and a Skit was performed by 2nd std children and Christmas Carols was sung by 1st std students. The chief guest of the programme were C.D.S Murthy, Retired TPO, Tiptur and Vishweswar Badaragade, KMAS, Municipal Commissioner, Tiptur. Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary was present on the occasion. Prices for the winners in the Annual Sports Meet were distributed on this occasion.

Mathematics Day
Mathematics Day was celebrated in our school on 21st December 2023. 7th Std children came up with a performance trying to familiarize mathematical symbols in the form of a group dance. The teachers of Mathematics address the students to overcome the phobia towards mathematics and they gave illustrations how mathematics is user friendly.

Annual Sports Meet
Annual Sports Meet organized in the school on 15th & 16th December 2023. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – President, KVS, Sri T U Jagadeeshmurthy, Vice – President, KVS, Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS and Sri Shivaprasad, Treasurer, KVS took part in the programme. All the students participated in the 2 – day – sports meet and the programme was a big success.

Kanakadasa Jayanthi
Kanakadasa Jayanthi was celebrated in our school on 30th November 2023. Sri Ramakrishna Asst. Teacher gave a talk on contribution made by Sri Kanakadasa. A student from 8th Std, Shrustith, dressed up like Sri Kanakadasa and gave a performance.

Constitution Day
Constitution Day was celebrated in our school on 27th November 2023. Smt Madhushree Asst. Teacher apprised the students of the need to uphold the rights and responsibilities enshrined in our Constitution. Later students took an oath to follow the constitution in good faith.

Adhamya Ranga Shale
8th, 9th & 10th Std students came up with presentation of the prescribed textual units in the form of Kannada plays on 17th November 2023. This novel idea caught the imagination of the students and the themes became very clear to them. The presentation was appreciated by all the students and the teachers alike.

Children’s Day Celebration
Children’s day was celebrated in the school premises on 15th November, 2023. The teachers gave several stage performances like singing and drama in order to entertain the students and make them feel happy.

Deepawali Celebration
Deepawali was celebrated on 11th November, 2023 in the school assembly with lot of enthusiasm.

Awareness Programme on ill effects of tobacco
District Health and Family Welfare Department organized an awareness programme on the ill-effects of tobacco in the school for the high-school students on 9th November, 2023.

Kannada Rajyotsava
Kannada Rajyotsava was grandly celebrated on the 1st of November, 2023 in the school. Sri Ramakrishna, Asst. Teacher of Kannada spoke about the importance of this celebration. Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS graced the occasion. The students of Grades 6 and 7 participated in the Taluk Level Dance Competition held in Kalpataru Stadium. Our students bagged the first place and won laurels for our school.

National Unity Day
National Unity Day was celebrated on 31st October, 2023 in the School Assembly with a lot of pride. Sri. Manjunath, Asst. Teacher of Social Science addressed the children about the significance of the day. Sri Vijay Kumar, Asst Teacher of Social Science administered the National Unity Day Pledge as per the directions of the CBSE Board.

Child Marriage Prohibition Act
Child Marriage Prohibition Act Day was observed in the school on the 26th October, 2023. Smt. Bhavani, Asst. Teacher of Social Science gave a talk to the high school children about the significance of the occasion.

Dasara Vacation
Dasara Vacation was declared for the period between 14th Oct and 24th Oct, 2023.

A Talk on Health and Hygiene for Girls
Dr. Sunitha Umesh, Gynecologist gave a talk on “Health and Teenage Issues for Girls” on the need to maintain health and hygiene in everyday life. She addressed the high school girls about the teenage issues and the need for the care to be taken especially by the girls.

Value Based Education
Sri Brahmananda Bharathi Swamy, Shiradigi addressed the students of class 1 to 10 on 5th October, 2023 on the need for moral and spiritual values in life. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice- President and Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS graced the occasion.

Gandhi Jayanthi and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s Birthday
Gandhi Jayanthi and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s Birthday were celebrated in the school on the 2nd October, 2023. Smt. Madhushree, Asst. Teacher gave a talk on the significance of the occasion.

Orientation Programme for Parents and Students
An orientation programme for both parents and students of 10th standard was organized on 22nd September, 2023 at the school. Dr Malathi, Principal and the Psychologist, PAACC, Tiptur gave the talk on “Building Emotional Strength”. There was a separate session for the parents on the topic “Handling Adolescent Issues”.

Career Guidance
Career Guidance programme was organized on 20th September for the 10th Std Students. They were taken to KIT and Sri Gurumurthy, the Principal of KIT gave a talk on the occasion. Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS addressed the gathering. Sri Vijaykumar H B Asst. Teacher KCS proposed the vote of thanks.

International Democracy Day and Engineers’ Day
International Democracy Day and Engineers’ day were celebrated in the school on 19th September, 2023. Smt Devika B Swamy the Principal lighted the lamp. The Preamble of the Constitution was read out to the students on the occasion.

Kalpa-Gnana Darpana-An Educational Fair
Kalpa-Gnana darpana an educational fair was organized on 15th and 16th September, 2023 in our school. The event was presided over by Sri P K Thipperudrappa, President, KVS along with other office bearers of KVS. Sri G Chandraiah, BEO, Tiptur inaugurated the Educational Fair, Sri Manohar T L, AEE, BESCOM, Tiptur and Sri Shivakumar M D, Principal Govt PU College were the Chief Guests. Parents and Students from different schools visited the fair in a big number. Our students won the hearts of the public by their wonderful efforts. The feedback from the parents, public and the teachers and students from other schools and colleges was overwhelming.

Krishna Janmastami
Krishna Janmastami was celebrated on 6th September, 2023 in the school. Fancy-Dress competition was held for Grade I. Bhajans on Lord Krishna were sung by the school choir.

Teachers’ Day
Teachers’ day was celebrated on 5th September, 2023 in the school. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice-President, KVS and Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS were the Chief guests. A dance programme was given by girls from Grade X as a dedication to the teachers.

National Sports Day
National Sports Day was celebrated on 29th August, 2023 in the school. Dr Ranganath, Surgeon , Govt Hospital, Tiptur was the guest of the day. Sri Rakesh, the PE Teacher along with some other students demonstrated gymnastic skills on the occasion.

A Talk on Chandrayana -3
A talk was organized on the launch of Chandrayana -3. Sri B S Shankarlingappa, Senior teacher gave a talk. Smt Devika B Swamy, the Principal joined the students and teachers in congratulating the efforts of the ISRO scientists.

Independence Day
Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August, 2023 in the school. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice – President, Sri M R Sangamesh, Sri T U Jagadeeshmurthy, Secretaries, KVS were present on the occasion. KCS bagged 1st place in March-Past competition. High school children won the 2nd Place in the Dance competition.

A talk at Eco-club
A talk was organized at the Eco – Club of KCS. Sri Jayaram Bollaje, Organiser, Paryavaran Samrakshan and Renukaradhaya C S, President, Nagarika Hitharakshana Vedike, Tiptur gave a talk on “Conservation of Environment”.

Inter-school Kannada Debate Competition
An Inter-School Kannada Debate Competition was organized in the school on 8th August, 2023. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Vice-President, KVS was the Chief Guest. Students from various schools in and around Tiptur participated in the competition. Sri Ramesh, Lecturer in Kannada and Smt Geethalakshmi, Kalpataru PU College Tiptur were the judges on the occasion. 1st place was bagged by Gurukula School, Tiptur and 2nd & 3rd places went to KCS.

Investiture Ceremony
Investiture Ceremony was organized on 1st August, 2023. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj, Sri B S Umesh, Vice – Presidents, KVS, Sri M R Sangamesh and Sri T U Jagadeeshmurthy, Secretaries, KVS were present on the occasion. Smt Devika B Swamy, the Principal administered the Oath of office to the newly elected representatives of the students. The dignitaries pinned the badges and sashes to the Office bearers of the student council.

English Debate Competition
Grand Finale of English Debate Competition was held on 25th July 2023. Sri B S Umesh, Vice – President, KVS and Sri T S Shivaprasad, Treasurer, KVS were present on the day of the finals to encourage the children. Prof. Vinutha Tejpal, Sri B S Umesh and Sri N P Nagaraj were the judges on the occasion. The efforts of the students were richly appreciated by the office bearers of the management and the Principal.

World Population Day
World Population Day was celebrated in the school on 11th July 2023. A student from Grade 6th gave information on the significance of World Population Day. Our teacher delivered a speech on “Unleashing the power of gender equality”.

Guru Purnima
Guru Purnima was celebrated in the school on 3rd July 2023. School choir dedicated a song to the teachers. On the same day, World Zoonoses Day was also celebrated in the school. Sri B S Shankarlingappa, the senior teacher gave a talk on the need to check the spread of the disease among animals.

Doctors’ Day
Doctors day was celebrated on 1st July 2023. Sri Bagepalli Nataraj Vice-President, KVS presided over the celebration. Sri M R Sangamesh, Secretary, KVS was the Chief Guest along with Dr Sridhar, Kumar Hospital Tiptur. The Principal, Smt Devika B Swamy, welcomed the dignitaries. Dr Sridhar talked about the need to have awareness about health and hygiene.

I derive immense pleasure to talk about our school. We are very proud of the fact that Kalpataru Central School has a spacious building, fully-functional laboratories, and a very good library with thousands of volumes of books, a vast playground, and a very well trained and resourceful faculty. Children certainly enjoy the school environment and, in turn, acquire knowledge and confidently express themselves. Games and co-curricular activities are given due importance in our school.

The Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe(R), Tiptur was established in the year 1962, with a cherished desire of catering to the needs of the lerners of learning in and around Tiptur. It is the product of the Vision and dynamism of its founding Principal Shri. J. R. Mahalingaiah and the altruistic and munificent donations from the renowned Philanthropists like Shri. Pallagatti Adavappa the founding President of the Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe.

Kalpataru College, which came to light in 1962 with a meager strength of 277 students went on growing from strength to strength until 1982 when it got bifurcated into Kalpataru Science College and Pallagatti Adavappa Arts and Commerce College, for conveniences of administration.
