Bidding Farewell
Moist
eyes and teary – eyed farewell
marked the valediction organized for
the 2019-2020 X standard children.
It was a very moving sight watching
the out – going children feeling
very sad at the prospect of leaving
the school on the completion of the
course. A token of gift was handed
over to the out – going children by
the school. The event was an
emotionally surcharged one where the
children felt very proud to be the
students of KCS and they expressed
their gratitude to the school,
faculty and fellow students.
Sharadha Pooja was organized and the
Admission Tickets were handed over
to the students. The children vowed
that they would excel in their
performance at X Board Examination.

Savitribai Phule Birth Anniversary Celebration
The birth
anniversary of Smt. Savitribai Phule the great social reformer
was celebrated in our school on 3rd Jan 2020. Smt. RohiniKiran
Asst. Teacher K.C.S gave a talk on Smt. Savitribai Phule. The
student of X STD also spoke the occasion.




Annual Sports Meet
Annual Sports meet
was organized between 28th – 30th November. Athletics,
individual events and group games were organized. Sri P.K
Tipperudrappa, the President and Sri T.S Shivaprasad, Treasurer
inaugurated the event. The children were administered the oath
that they would be fair in participating in the games.
Competitions were held for the parents of the children belonging
to class VI – X was involved in the sports activity.











Children’s Day
Children’s Day was
celebrated with lots of fun and joy. The Principal, Mrs.
Devika.B.Swamy inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp.
Teachers came up with many programmes to entertain the children.
Men faculty came up with a skit which was very humorous. Lady
teachers gave two dance programmes which were received with
joyous shouts from the children. Later, the teachers sang songs
in praise of the potential and the talent of the children.






























Vigilance Week
The Kalpataru Central School observed the vigilance week from
28th October to 2nd November 2019.
The idea was to promote transparency, accountability & integrity
in public life. The Motto of the programme was “Integrity – A
way of life”.
On this occasion, Mrs. Devika.B.Swamy,The Principal,KCS
requested the faculty &the children in the assembly to take the
pledge that they would be vigilant and would develop zero
tolerance towards corruption in public life. Banners and posters
were displayed to encourage the students to develop integrity of
character .The panel discussion and debate competition were organized to
drive home the message of the need to have integrity in public
life.











Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with gusto in our school on
November 1,2019.
Sri Renukaradhya , was the Chief Guest of the occasion.Chlidren
took active participation in organizing the cultural programmes.
Smt.Devika. B. Swamy addressed the children. The occasion was
feisty and the faculty mingled with the children freely
encouraging them to come up with creative ideas and programmes .



















Deepavali Celebration
Deepavali, the festival of lights,was celebrated with much
enthusiasm in the school on 26th October 2019. The diyas were
lit by the children. The Principal, the faculty and the rest of
the staff took part in the celebration making the occasion
memorable. The entire atmosphere was filled with fun and laughter
.An awareness was created among the students about the need to
prevent pollution emanating from lighting fire crackers.The
children were enlightened about the legend of Bali Chakravarti
and the evil represented by Narakasura.The victory of the good
over the evil was the cause for celebration.




Cleanliness Drive & Literacy Drive by the Children of KCS.
The children of X std from Kalpataru Central School took part in
cleanliness & Literacy drive in Sharadhanagar extension in
Tiptur. On the occasion the children rendered service by
cleaning up the place,
More over ,the children created awareness among the public about
the need for cleanliness & literacy. The teaching & non –
teaching staff of Kalpataru Central School also took active part
in the cleanliness drive.






Inauguration of the new building
Inauguration of the
new building of Kalpataru Central School took place on 18th
October 19-20.Sri J.C. Madhuswamy, Hon’ble Minster for Law&
Parliamentary affairs & Minor irrigation, Government of
Karnataka, inaugurated the event.
Sri S.Suresh kumar, Hon’ble Minster for Primary & Secondary
Education, Government of Karnataka, was also present on the
occasion.
Sri G.S Basavaraju, Member of Parliament, Tumkur spoke on the
occasion. Sri P.K Tipperudrappa, the President, Kalpataru Vidya
Samsthe Tiptur. presided over the function. Sri B.C.Nagesh,
MLA,Tiptur & Sri A.S. Jairam, MLA,Turvekere, were present on the
occasion. The office bearers and the members of Kalpataru Vidya
Samsthe were present on the occasion.
Sri T.S Shivaprasad, Treasurer, Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe welcomed
the gathering. Smt. Devika.B.Swamy, the Principal, Kalpataru
Central School made introductory remarks. Sri K.P Rudramuniswamy,
the Secretary, Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe, proposed the vote of

Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration
150th birthday anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi & 115th birthday
anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated in all
solemnity in our school on October 2, 2019. Mr. Yashwanth (Asst.
Teacher) addressed the gathering of students and teachers.
Excerpts from Bhagawadgitha, Kuran & Bible were read out to
drive home Gandhi’s idea of pluralism and communal amity. A
dance drama was enacted by our High school students on this
occasion.








Good touch & bad touch awareness program
The teachers educated the children about the various aspects of
human behavior. The children were told to be vary of
psychopathic and anti – social elements in the society. A short
film was screened to enable the children to draw a distinction
between good touch & bad touch.





Disaster Management awareness program
The children were made aware of the possible disasters that they
are likely to encounter. The teachers demonstrated how to manage
the disaster and how to minimize the negative impacts of the
disaster. The teachers used the school model to show the various
exits in the school which could be used at the time of any
disaster. The students were told to be clam resourceful in
operating the fire extinguishers and other various tools.














Teachers’ Day
Teachers’ Day was celebrated in our school on 5th September
2019-20 with enthusiasm. The students organized the function in
an orderly manner & they recalled the tremendous contribution
made by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The principal of Daffodils Higher Primary School Tiptur, Smt.
Srimathi Ma’am was the chief gust at the function & she was
honored by the principal of KCS & other teachers. Later in the
evening sports programmes organized for the teachers by the
children.

popularity of Hindi as an official language of India.

World Environment Day
We celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June, 2018 in our
school. We had the gracious presence of Sri Rakesh, the Range
Forest Officer(RFO), Tiptur (Tq) on the occasion as the chief
guest. Our children planted many saplings in the school premises
and it created a general awareness among the students about the
need to plant and conserve greenery.



Doctors' Day
Doctors' day celebrated on July 1st , 2018 to commemorate the
birth anniversary of legendary surgeon Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.
