Fit India Movement – “Fitness week Celebration”
The Kalpataru Central School observed Fit India Movement in the
2nd and 3rd week of November 2019. This exercise was taken up to
reinforce the idea of fitness in the lives of the children. It
is an attempt to promote fitness among school children. The
prime objective of the initiative was to bring about a
perceptional change in school children in order to make them
realize the importance of the thought : Passive screen time to
Active field time.
The aim of this programme was to develop sports quotient among
all the students to make them develop a healthy life style.
Day 1 :
Yoga programme was organized for all the teachers and the
students during the Fitness week celebration in the school
assembly. Mr. Vidyanand conducted the programme on November 11,
2019.
Day 2 :
Free hands exercise programme was organized on November 12,
2019.
Day 3 :
Poster Making Competition programme was organized on
November13, 2019 on the theme of Fit body-Fit mind-Fit
Environment.
Day 4 :
Aerobics, Martial arts, rope skipping, group and individual
sports activities were taken up by the students on November 14,
2019.

About the Trust :
 The
Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe(R), Tiptur was established in the year 1962,
with a cherished desire of catering to the needs of the lerners of
learning in and around Tiptur. It is the product of the Vision and
dynamism of its founding Principal Shri. J. R. Mahalingaiah and the
altruistic and munificent donations from the renowned Philanthropists
like Shri. Pallagatti Adavappa the founding President of the Kalpataru
Vidya Samsthe.
Kalpataru College, which came to light in 1962 with a meager strength of
277 students went on growing from strength to strength until 1982 when
it got bifurcated into Kalpataru Science College and Pallagatti Adavappa
Arts and Commerce College, for conveniences of administration.
